1. Freestock
Freestock is a fantastic resource for free stock images, free stock video, and free stock vectors. The Freestock video collections feature helpful categories like free corporate video shots, free industrial footage, free nature and travel clips, and free green screen videos.

2. Videvo
Videvo offers free stock footageand motion graphics for all types of projects, and it has one of the largest free HD libraries online. New clips go up every week, and they cover a ton of different categories, like abstract, animals, VFX, sports, and business.
3. Pexels Video
All of the clips available from Pexels Videos are totally free, high definition, and available under the Creative Commons Zero (CC0) license. You can manipulate them however you see fit and use them in any type of project you can imagine — even commercial.
4. RocketStock
RocketStock is known as an After Effects template marketplace, but every month they give away free video elements. You’ll see free stock video overlays like 13 Free 4K Light Leaks, 16 Free 4K Light and Dust Overlays, free After Effects templates, and a bunch of other great free downloads.

6. Bigstock (7 Day Free Trial)
While not always free, Bigstock does offer a 7 day free trial. This gives you a chance to download some free stock video or free stock photos, and if you end up liking the trial, you can subscribe for one of their many stock video plans.

If you need more free stock vectors or free stock photos to overlay onto your footage, check out the wide selection for free stock assets on Freepik. There are even free PSD files that you could then animate in your video projects.

Since the mid 90s, Archive.org has been a digital repository for all sorts of digital media. Archive.org has more than 2,000 films from the Prelinger Archive on their site. This collection is full of Americana and cultural-based films (home movies, commercials, B-movies) from the last 100 years.
10. X Stock Video
X Stock offers high resolution clips, but suffers in terms of variety of subject matter. Most stock footage on the site is available in HD 720 or 1080 resolutions. To avoid having to sift through all of the clips, use the search link to find what you’re looking for.
11. The News Market
The News Market features clips that are topical and newsworthy, as well as many prepackaged news pieces (VNRs). Great for use as B-Roll in a journalism or documentary piece. As an added bonus, some of the clips on the site have a shot list provided, making it easy to track down exactly what you’re looking for.
12. Media College
Currently, Media College only has a small number of free stock clips, but the ones on the site are offered in HD (as well as SD) and good for use as B-Roll. Subject matter includes nature, seasons, and animals. One note: the video on the site are all PAL format and would need to be converted if your intended use is NTSC.

Pixabay isn’t just for finding free stock footage and photos — you can also add your own original work to their growing library. Find the perfect free clip for your next social media push or email blast.
14. VidsPlay
VidsPlay only has a small number of clips, but what they do have is top quality. Although available in both 720 and 1080, many of the clips on this site are in the AVI format and will need to be converted to use in Final Cut Pro.

Although some of the videos on the site teeter toward amateurish, they do feature a large variety of animals. Sections on the site include wildlife, pets, and marine life. If you’re looking for a free animal-specific clip, you’ll likely find it here.
16. Wikimedia Videos
Similar to Archive.org, Wikimedia Commons is an online library of open-source sounds, videos, photos and other media. The site has a large selection of video clips covering a wide range of subject matter — though the search functionality is somewhat limited.
